School Day
The gates and classroom doors open at 8:45am and the children enter school ready for registration at 8:55 am.
Please encourage your child to become independent as soon as possible and come into school alone.
In the morning, staff members settle the children ready for the school day and complete the register. If parents and carers wish to talk to the class teacher, please do so at the end of the school day. If there is an urgent issue please talk to the Head of School or the school office.
The teaching day finishes at 3:20 p.m. Please collect children from the playground (Maple Class) or the door to their classroom (Beech, Willow and Oak) unless they are using the school bus.
A typical week at St Mary's is 32 hours and 55 minutes.
CHILD ABSENT
If your child is unable to attend school, please contact the office before 9:15am and explain the reason for the absence. Please find the Trust’s policy on attendance and punctuality; also the school’s application for exceptional leave below:
