St Mary's Church of England Primary School

Uniform Information

All children are required to wear school uniform.  Uniform can be with or without the school logo.

We currently have two school uniform suppliers - an online supplier: www.yourschooluniform.co.uk provides uniform with and without the school logo and a local supplier:  Sports Supplies Lutterworth (25 Church Street, Lutterworth, telephone 01455 550938 or online www.sports-supplies-lutterworth.myshopify.com) supplies uniform with the school logo.

School ties can be purchased from the school office or from www.yourschooluniform.com

Uniform without a logo such as grey shorts, trousers, white polo shirts, grey pinafore, grey skirt, yellow gingham dresses, white cardigans etc. may be purchased from any of a range of stores such as Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda, M&S etc.

Children in Willow, Sycamore, Maple and Oak classes ONLY, wear shirt and ties as part of the Winter uniform.

As our classrooms are partly carpeted all children must have a pair of outdoor footwear for use at playtime and lunchtime.  Wellingtons or trainers are ideal.  Please ensure your child can tie up their own laces so they can get out to play quickly.

Hair bands, “scrunchies”  must be in school colours.  Hair should be the natural colour and styled in such a way that children do not stand out from other children. The wearing of make-up and nail varnish is not allowed.

P.E. AND GAMES

  • EYFS need Plimsolls – black or white – for indoor use (please make sure they fit with socks on.  Velcro ones are ideal for younger children
  • Burgundy T shirt with or without school logo
  • Black shorts or leggings
  • Black Joggers
  • Light Grey Sweatshirt (no hood)
  • A drawstring P.E.bag
  • Trainers for outdoor use

Football boots and shin pads may be required for some children; they will be informed if these are necessary.

For safety reasons any child, boy or girl must tie back long hair for PE and remove earrings (or tape over)

BAGS

Because storage space in the cloakrooms is very limited, we ask that if children bring a bag to school it is no longer than 40 cm.  The nylon frameless rucksacks are ideal.

JEWELLERY

The wearing of jewellery (including earrings) at school is not allowed for safety reasons, owing to the physical activity that takes place.

Any children who have recently pierced ears can, as a temporary measure only, wear stud earrings and cover these with micropore tape for P.E., Games and swimming lessons.

All items of clothing worn at school should be clearly marked with the owner’s name.   Unclaimed property is recycled every half-term.
